Ever have a gondola parked on a siding magically roll a little too close to where the siding meets a busy mainline?
Or need to park a tank car on a slope but can’t 'cause it'll take off like a runaway roller coaster at Wonderland?
Our Wheel Brake will (quite literally) put a stop to that!
Easy to assemble and install, the Wheel Brake hides down between your track’s ties until needed.
Then at the push of a button, it rises up to block your car’s axle.
And the best part is, it’s still hidden because it’s under the car.
The net effect is the appearance that your car has had its inherent wheel brake applied!
You can spot the car just up-slope from the Wheel Brake so the Wheel Brake engages the car’s leading axle or—as we prefer—you can spot the car with one of its trucks directly over the Wheel Brake thus preventing the car from going rogue in either direction.
Naturally, any other cars that are coupled to the car engaged by the Wheel Brake will also be prevented from rolling away.
