Now some know-it-alls insist they were designed and painted to look like barns on purpose.

The idea was that a horse or cow would walk right in to one and not be scared by the rushing water below.

Typical of covered bridges from coast-to-coast, its detailed beams and boards look like real wood.

Of course, they're molded as one assembly in two different colors and the major parts just snap together.

Realistic stone abutments are provided so it's easy to add to a new section of your layout, or blend with existing scenery.
